Autumn is back, students are slowly fitting in again to school after the summer holidays. The Student Council was busy getting ready to greet their new members. Every autumn, the Year 2 Councilors retire, before picking their new Year 1 members for the next year.
The HAFS Student Council (SC HAFS) is made up of 9 departments: the Promoting Department, Physical Education Department, Environmental Service Department, Broadcasting Department, Event Planning Department, Domestic, and International Education Department, Club Association Department, General Affairs Department. These departments manage a broad selection of events starting from Sports Day to the school guide.
The Student Council put up a notification on 9th September through the SC HAFS Facebook Page to assemble the new members except for the Promoting Department and announced their fresh company through the SC HAFS Facebook page. Each department elects its new Year 2 Head, Year 1 Deputy Head and an approximate of 6 new members. The students go through interviews and can only qualify to one department. Unlike the other departments, the Promoting Department had already finished its recruiting, in March and August. As the Promoters have events such as the school tour, the school information session and much more, the Promoting Department needed new recruitment since the start of the year, only the other eight departments processed the interviews.
It is a new semester and HAFS has started it by making a new company for the 15th Student Council. The 14th Student Council had done services such as Jikbag reservations and the optional snack system. Now it is time for the 15th Student Council to continue these services and improve them. Now, it is time for us.
