During the second week of September, HAFS students enjoyed the annual International Food Week, when they were able to try the main meals and snacks of five different nations. On September 7th, the cafeteria served food from France including gorgonzola pizza, croissant bread, and roast chicken. Students ate Chinese food on the second day such as Chinese spring pancakes Chunbing, mooncakes, and Yang Zhou Chaofan, Chinese fried rice made with mainly shrimp, egg, and Welsh onion. The third and fourth day contained food from Germany and Japan. International Food Week wrapped up with American food on the 11th, when students were offered pork back ribs, French fries, mushroom soup, and pretzels. Overall, International Food Week received positive reviews from students who found the experience new and exciting.
